‘Cause Life’s not that fun

The title’s seriously very random and it might just not go with the post also, okay? :D

I graduated 2 months ago and have taken up Law for higher studies, just so you know! (:

This new college of mine is quite famous one, like the one which we all dream to study in kind of, but was not my first choice. I really never thought that I won’t get admission in college of my choice ‘cause it never happened before! No, I wasn't devasted but it hurts ok. I ended up being in this college which is as awesome as my 1st choice. No, this is not the case of grapes being sour! I seriously LOVE this college (; Certainly not Love at first sight though. I’ve’nt still gotten *into* the college I mean, I've barely attended lectures and talked to other students (I should soon do both, exams are not too far) So why I love this college? Dude! FOOD.

SO many freaking awesome places to eat are nearby the college. The college canteen itself serves the best Chinese (Indianised of course) ever :D So looking forward to checkout ALL the food places. Yayieeeeeeeeeeee!

As much as I love hogging, I can’t do without cooking once in a while. Yes, I love cooking! I’m not a pro but can cook a decent meal for 2 to 4 people, yep! Still learning yaa! P.S – What I call “decent” may be for you “excellent" :P

Pasta is one thing I absolutely love cooking! It’s kinda comfort food for me..I can eat pasta at any given time, seriously. Cook? Only when I’m in mood to :D Does that makes me a Moody cook? Yes? OK. :P

Mean while..
Here’s a picture of a Heart shape Roti I made awhile ago I had also tweeted this.

Mumbai is not the same anymore!

Above images are of a peaceful protest which took place against a moral cop, for he's keeping no stones upturned in ruining Mumbai's night life. (Images via MidDay.)

I'd never imagined Mumbai will ever be moral policed. Seriously, when I used  to read/hear news related to "moral policing" happening in the rest part of India, I never thought this kinda crap would even dare enter Mumbai, but it did. and how! :(
If you are a Mumbaikar (Mumbai resident) or happen to be in Mumbai around this time or are among st those who know what's-happening-around-the-world you might be knowing a certain DHOBLE! Yes I'm talking about the man who raids people's house, interrogates innocents and sometimes also bashes 'em. The man I'm talking about,  *coughs* is the ACP of Mumbai. Yes, you heard it right he's in service to serve the people but all you read in newspapers these days are his stories of harassing people. So, Mr.Dhoble doesn't wanna see people party in Mumbai, If you are courageous enough to go and party and LIVE YOUR LIFE LIKE YOU LIKE chances are you might end up being in jail or in government hospitals undergoing drug detection test. This man calls a fun party with alcohol a "Rave", psycho much? If that was not enough he raided a house party and can also "catch" you  if you are seen in a group of 4,5 or more people walking or just chilling at any random road side place or eatery! Beware!
These days Mumbai's been going through a rather tricky and complex situation, I mean the other day a lady who makes Liquor chocolates as a hobby was arrested for keeping 20 something bottles of alcohol at her place. The officials on duty said they were just doing their job and it was citizen's mistake! Later, I found out this - Under section 65(e) of the Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949 A person cannot sell or posses an intoxicant without permission. shocked? Now this one's more bizarre - YOU NEED TO HAVE ALCOHOL PERMIT TO BUY THESE CHOCOLATES AS WELL ELSE YOU COULD BE ARRESTED OR FINED OR BOTH..As if raising the Legal Drinking Age to 25 was not enough these government guys are making citizens face even mad laws!
I'm sure many out there are not aware of these laws even I wasn't until few days back. These and many other alcohol related laws are so not logical and archaic, they need to be changed keeping 'em in accordance with the new generation but who's gonna listen! And they say "Democracy is by the people for the people and to the people"!!
P.S - The above writing was lying in the draft from a very long time now. Somehow didn't get to publish it before..Anyways..
I'm thinking to get my Hair cut..It's been like a year or so I'm just undergoing trimming while keeping the same haircut style intact (medium length wavy hair with side fringe). While I was googling around for some ideas on Haircut styles I bumped into this very exciting virtual makeover application by Dailyglow. This Application allows you to check from the vast range of hairstyles what suits you best. You gotta upload your photo there and then check from the various not just hairstyles even makeup and accessories what goes with your face! I'm not sure if I'll go by what it showed but nonetheless it was a great time pass! So maybe you'll have fun exploring it..so go ahead! :)
That's all for now. Gotta go!

MCLEODGANJ - THE PLACE TO BE

Hello :)
I know I've been mia for quite a time now...But it's all because of Blogger. Yes. I was so mad at blogger, somehow I could not open my a/c...and when after lots of  "hard work" it opened....I was so shocked to see that none of my pictures here were visible :( :(
Yes I wrote to Google's customer service but except an apology email they did nothing about it!
Ok.Let bygones be bygones :D
Coming to the post, as I promised here, I'm posting pictures shot in Mcleodganj. If you haven't visited the place, pack your bags and head there 'cos you are missing on something very very worthy. Mcleodganj has a very quaint charm, You can sit on the benches (not exactly!) on the sides of roads sip endless cups of coffee over your favourite book without being disturbed by anyone, Have long hours of chat over MOMOS (so yumm!), or just get lost in your own world and wander on the roads without the fear of being judged. Mind you Mcleodganj is not a very silent kind of place, roads are full of people chatting laughing shopping hogging but not for a moment the crowd or noise will get on your nerves, that's the magic of the place crowded yet calm! It's not noisy; it’s full of life I say! :)
Shopping, God! Jewellery they sell there are so antique and so different and so classy! Stalls are loaded with silvers, junks, colours, pearls in all forms and shapes and sizes mostly having a woman vendor are present on both the sides of roads but the sad part is, if you are a tourist you might end up paying a "huge price" for your purchase (yes, they might fool you! :P) Make friends with a local and then go shopping, I advise. :D :D Jholas in stunning colours are also popular there I guess, they were everywhere.Pants.Palazzo, Dhoti and weird-yet-chic in every shape possible was there being sold in hole-in-wall kinda shops.
Mcleodganj is a small place hence there's no chance of you to get lost :p so don't hesitate to wander around on your feet. Hoggers are in for an absolute treat in Mcleodganj. There are Endless options to choose from. Tibetan food is a must try. Local Himachali cuisine is awesome too! I was lil sceptical of eating vegetarian food there but a small Vaishnav(Food is pure veg without garlic and onions)Dhaba near Bhagsunath temple changed that, They served simple traditional food without any frills and trust me not for once I regretted it!
Mcleodganj is a suburb of Dharmashala city, but i always end up mentioning the whole place as Mcleodganj instead of Dharamshala, Also area wise the city is not very huge, so it's not like calling it Mcleodganj would create confusion besides I just love the name Mcleodganj :D :D
I would also like to mention that I had best panipuri plate ever in Mcleodganj considering the place is not very famous for its panipuri!
Ooops...I guess, I've written enough. I can go on and on about mcleodganj. You guys enjoy the pictures and let me know how you liked it. If you been to Mcleodganj/Dharmshala, I’ll be pleased to read your take too!

This was 10mins walk away from the hotel I stayed in
P.S- Mcleodganj has much more to it than these pictures. It's for you to go and feel the place for yourself! Not all pictures shot there made their way to this post 'cos they went missing god knows where :| I can't find two such beautiful pictures, one of Naddi and other of St.John's church. Both places were incredible. I'm posting a Google image of St. John's church for you all to just see and have an idea how it looks like and as for Naddi, Google has many pictures of that place but nothing like how I saw it so I decided better not to post any "so so" image. If ever I find my image of this two places I'll surely post it here. promise! :D That's all for now. Will be back with a new post real soon till then take care! Have loads of fun :)
